Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.8 released

On March 31th, 2020 Red Hat announced RHEL 7.8 the next regular update to their flag ship operating system. This the successor of RHEL 7.7. With this release in August RHEL 7 transitions to Maintenance Support 2 phase. So from now on only critical security and functional problems will be fixed.

The kernel level for 7.8 is kernel-3.10.0-1127.el7. This release is mainly a bug fix release. It finally completes the integration of all the pervasive encryption features for System Z.
