Today April 4th 2023 IBM announced two new members of the IBM z16 family: the z16 single frame (z16-A02) and the z16 rack mount. The planned availability date is May 17, 2023. This is about a year after the z16 release. The z16 single frame offers a significant capacity improvement over the z15 single frame and the rack mounted system is a first of a kind.
